There are a wide variety of volunteering opportunities available within Communicare and we are always seeking new volunteers – we constantly have a waiting list of people needing help! If you’d like to volunteer with us, please contact us for a chat to find out more or look at the information at the bottom of the page and email us a volunteer application form.
Communicare in Southampton could not exist without its valuable volunteers. Currently we have over 300 volunteers, showing compassion for others by providing help and friendship.
We receive requests for all sorts of neighbourly support and there is always something you can do to help, no matter how much time you can give, whether it’s one hour a month or several hours a week. All we ask is that have a kind heart and a little time to spare.

We are always happy to chat with volunteers over the phone or in person. If you’d like to come into the office please contact us first by email or phone, so we know to expect you.
We host optional volunteer forums throughout the year, and social events such as our annual volunteer celebration evening. These occasions are great for getting to know other friendly people in the City and give an opportunity to share and learn from each other’s experiences.
Training is offered by professionals to cover key issues related to volunteering and service user situations on a regular basis.
