There’s lots of ways to fundraise to support the work of Communicare in Southampton. The fundraising on this page will not cost you a penny!

Ziffit.com

Do you have any books sitting on your shelves that you haven’t looked at in years?

What about CDs stored in your attic?

How about those DVDs or Blu-rays that have sat there getting dusty ever since Netflix came along?

Perhaps those computer games that you’ve completed and haven’t quite got round to visiting a charity shop to donate them.

Or have you been reading or watching Marie Kondo and from her teachings you realise you have a rather large pile of items that no longer bring you joy?!

Well now, thanks to Ziffit.com you no longer have to leave your home to donate your items, Ziffit will collect the items from you and the proceeds made will all go to Communicare! How awesome is that?!

It is dead easy to donate, you can do this in one of two ways, either:

  • Follow this link and then enter in each barcode of each item manually
  • Or use the Ziffit App, select ‘Communicare in Southampton’ and then zap the barcode of each item

Ziffit will then tell you what each item is worth and as long as you have over £5.00 worth of items they will pick up from your home for free.

Give a Car (or any vehicle)

Do you have an old car, motorbike, van or even a caravan that you no longer want?

Maybe you have a vehicle that is only fit for scrap?

Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that can turn your old vehicle into cash for Communicare in Southampton.

Giveacar will collect your vehicle from your home for free, they will then either sell your vehicle at auction or scrap it with the proceeds (minus their service fees) coming to Communicare to your charity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get rid of an old vehicle and do some good at the same time!

Smile Amazon

Are you an Amazon Prime member and you do most if not all your shopping regularly through Amazon?

Or perhaps you use Amazon on days such as Black Friday? Or to avoid the Christmas queues?

Or perhaps you just shop via Amazon on the odd occasion when you can’t find what you need elsewhere?

If you fit any of those categories and let’s face it most of us will, then we’re really pleased to share that if you sign up via smile.amazon.co.uk and choose Communicare in Southampton as your charity, then whenever you purchase your goods, you will at the same time be raising money for us! 

Amazon will donate 0.5% from each purchase to us.

Two Amazon Smile tips:

  1. Do you use Amazon via a computer? Please save smile.amazon.co.uk to your favourites bar on your computer. It makes it easier to access and will help you avoid going to amazon.co.uk which would mean no donation for us.
  2. Do you use Amazon via a phone app? To sign up to Communicare in Southampton, this has to be done via the website as it cannot be done on the app. However once signed up, please go on the app, then click on the settings and then tap on ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Amazon Smile on your phone. 

Easy Fundraising

Just like Smile Amazon, Easy Fundraising is an amazing platform that raises money for Communicare in Southampton via a huge selection of companies, that include:

There are loads more companies that will give to Communicare in Southampton via Easy Fundraising. The percentages will vary between each shop.
