Could you be a trustee for us?
Are you a strategic thinker with an enquiring mind and the ability to act as a critical friend? Are you passionate about encouraging neighbourly support to relieve loneliness and isolation?
If so, we would love to hear from you.
We’re a church-supported social outreach charity working across Southampton. Through our good neighbours’ service, we seek to serve vulnerable people in our communities by offering a friendly hand of support. We link local volunteers with people in need, providing practical help, companionship and emotional support.
As a Trustee and Company Director, you will join a team responsible for ensuring that the charity is well governed and able to fulfil its charitable purpose. Trustees have a legal duty to:
- Ensure the charity is carrying out its purposes as set out in its governing document
- Help shape the charity’s strategy and future direction
- Manage the charity’s resources responsibly
- Ensure the charity complies with relevant laws and regulations
- This is a voluntary role and reasonable expenses are paid.
