Tree of Light 2018

We’re delighted to launch our 10th annual Tree of Light event. One of the beautiful pines in the Woolston Millennium Garden will be covered in hundreds of sponsored Christmas lights to commemorate loved ones and special causes. Sponsor a light via our Facebook event page or by sending Bacs, cheque or cash to our SVS office (see sponsorship form).

You’re warmly invited to join us for the lighting up ceremony on Saturday 1st December at 4.30pm as part of the Woolston Christmas Festival. Communicare will have a stall at the festival, where you would be welcome to sponsor a light and pick up a remembrance star to put on your tree. The lights will be officially switched on by the Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Barnes-Andrews and his Consort Mrs. Barnes-Andrews, followed by Christmas carols led by local choir The Rising Stars.

We will send the names of those being remembered to the Daily Echo and also record them in our remembrance book. You may send photographs, short poems/verses or a tribute (1 per person) for inclusion in the book. Please send this by private message or drop them in to one of our offices by 7th December 2018. Unfortunately we will not be able to return any hard copies to you.
