1 year friend anniversary

“On Saturday we will have been friends for a whole year! 

After reading an article in the Echo about how Communicare needed Befrienders for the elderly who were lonely, I applied immediately. I’m so glad I did because I would never have met my good friend. We meet most Thursday afternoons for a good old natter over a cuppa, we sometimes go for a short stroll around the block or we treat ourselves to tea and cake at Haskins, which is her favourite place.

Such a lovely lady with a wicked sense of humour, we regularly natter non stop for a couple hours and then complain how quick the time has gone by. My life has most definitely improved with my good friend in it and I really look forward to our Thursdays together. I have printed off and framed the picture below and will be giving it to her as a gift for our first friendaversary on Thursday.” Sara.
