Volunteer Conference Day – Sat 27th April
We are delighted to be hosting our first Volunteers Conference Day! Saturday 27th April, 9.45am-3pm at Southampton Sight, 3 Bassett Avenue SO16 7DP.
Starting at 9.45am for tea and coffee, we’ll then move on to workshops including:
Bereavement: Nicola Symes – what is loss? Coping with loss & how to help?
Dementia: Emma Borley (Lead Admiral Nurse) & guest speaker Terry Eccott about Dementia – tips for communication
Mental Health: Annie Clewlow & guests – hear from experts with lived experience; tips for supporting those with mental health problems
Lunch: pizza & salad lunch with time to talk to our Coordinators and Alzheimers Society, Action on Hearing Loss, Southampton Healthy Homes, Care Team & Southampton Sight.
Afternoon workshops begin at 1pm and include:
