Funds raised at our Vintage and Craft Fair confirmed

Just under £700 was raised – thank you to all who came and supported the event!

A warm and welcoming day out at our Vintage and Craft Fair

The Daily Echo suggested it as number 3 of the in the paper’s Friday copy ‘Top 10 things to do with the family this weekend’.

A stallholder said: “The hall was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the music gave the event a nice atmosphere. Thank you to Melodie (and team) for making us all feel welcome. For me personally it was a good event for networking with friendly customers.”

Another said: “Loved the organisers, loved the entertainment, it was amazing, that alone gave us a wonderful day! Just brilliant!”

Over 20 stallholders such as Felted Landscapes, Jacee Crafters, M R Hobbs, Michelle White, Happy Thoughts, Antique Clocks, Art-D-CraftSabão, Whiskey & Ginger, Pick n Melt, Pins and Things, Scrabble Art, 68 Charms, Bobbyn’s Boutique, The Hobbyist, Winnie and Vera, Shah & Punchal, Tait Gallery, Mel Makes, Wilemena Crafts, and Festive Fabrics took part.

Stallholders and visitors were treated to excellent live music throughout the day including performances from: Amy the Harp Lady, Serena Lin, Jim Rogers, and Sing Now Choir Southampton.

There was a mini cake competition and a raffle with prizes being donated by stallholders and supporters of Communicare. The winning cake was a lovely lemon cake (the maker prefers not to be named!) and the judges were Jacky Cornforth, stallholder of Pins and Things, Jacky’s husband, and Annie Clewlow, manager of Communicare.

23 volunteers and 5 staff members helped to make the event happen.

No entry charge was made to visitors.

Plans have been made to hold the next Vintage and Craft Fair on 03 November later this year at The Victory Centre in Portswood.
