Marathon – Will Oliver

23 year old Will Oliver has always fancied the challenge of running a half marathon so when he saw Communicare were looking for runners it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss. He only started regularly running distances over 5k in the last few months in perparation for tomorrow, his first ‘race of any distance’! His best running experience is “Leaving my flat at 7.15 and still making it to the bus stop in time to catch the 7.17 bus to work” – impressive!

When asked if he’s aiming for a pb for the half marathon, he replied “Of course! I’d be very happy with anything under 2 hours”. Ignoring the common advice of listening to fast paced heavy music, Will will be listening to relaxing hip hop in the hope that this will help him to” forget how knackered I’m feeling”.

Best thing about working alongside Communicare: It’s incredibly rewarding seeing how easy it is to make a genuine difference to someone’s life.
