Calling all events and transport volunteers!

Could you be a much needed volunteer driver for our Christmas tea parties? We would love to get as many people as possible to come, as Christmas can be a lonely time of year for some of our service users, and the parties are much enjoyed by everyone.

We are looking for volunteer drivers to give guests lifts to and from the tea parties, as well as volunteers who would like to help at the events, either by helping in the kitchen, with set up, meeting and greeting, or providing delicious cakes!

Our West tea party will be held at Lord’s Hill Church, Lordshill District Centre, SO16 8HY on Tuesday 10th December from 1:45pm-3pm. We need help setting up the church hall from around 11:30am/12pm, and set down will take up until 4pm.

On the East of the city, we are not running a tea party, but have kindly been allowed to invite guests along to Peartree Green URC Church, Peartree Road, SO19 7GU on Saturday 14th December from 4pm for their Christmas afternoon tea. So the main need for this event is transport help before 4pm and from 6pm.
