Cooee Campaign Featured On BBC Radio Solent!

We were delighted to hear local resident Liz embracing our Cooee campaign on yesterday’s BBC Radio Solent Breakfast show https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p088wcbk (starts at 1.58.52). Liz explains she had put a sign in her window saying ’12 O’clock wave or cooee’ so the next day a neighbour came out and had a chat, and the following day another neighbour from across the road popped out, saw what was going on and joined in. On one occasion there were eight or nine neighbours standing in their driveways, maintaining a safe social distance, simply having a chat and waving at the children in the window. Liz says; ‘it’s been great’.

Why not try it with your neighbours? A simple ‘cooee’ or ‘hello’ at 12noon from a safe social distance could spark some lovely conversations and help to ease lockdown boredom.
