Jubilee Tea Party with Woodlands College

Jubilee Tea Party with Woodlands College

Communicare service users joined staff and school prefects from Woodlands College, Harefield in April for a Jubilee tea party.

Tricia reports that the scones made by the school caterers were absolutely yummy! The children did a fantastic job hanging bunting, laying tables and welcoming the guests, including the Mayor of Southampton, Alex Houghton. Music was provided by a video of photos and top 20 hits for each year of Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

Staff joined in as it was their inset day, and the hall was filled with the happy buzz of conversation. It was also good to chat with local residents and workers from other charities and discuss whether we can do more together in Harefield to reach out to isolated residents.

We are very grateful for a Gannett Foundation* grant which enables us to partner with Woodlands for this event.
