Time for a patch match?

Time for a patch match?

During our recent volunteer conference, our dedicated band of Communiteers were given an arrow sticker each when they arrived to place on our Southampton map to identify their patch.

By doing so, they could find their area marked by the white cards with patch names and see how close to other Communicare volunteers they are.

Neighbourhood charity

We’re a neighbourhood charity, as this map shows, working at grassroots level to help provide services that enrich the lives of isolated and lonely people in Southampton.

Our services are staffed by our amazing volunteers who give their time freely.

Meet others

Meeting other volunteers from your area and sharing your experiences is a great way to grow, to expand your skills and knowledge with regards to how best to support our service users. It will also help you enjoy your volunteering even more.

We’re currently supporting more than 700 individuals/families through tasks including, befriending, transport for appointments and assistance with shopping.

The services we provide are free to users, although beneficiaries are invited to make a donation, if they are able to, and Communiteers are offered expenses.

We always need more volunteers to match with people on our waiting lists who need our help. To find out more about becoming a Communiteer, please click here.
