Tree of Light 2020

Tree of Light 2020

Despite Covid-19 we’re delighted to announce that we’re launching our 12th annual Tree of Light campaign, although this year it will be run differently as due to the lockdown we are unable to have our usual official switch on by the Mayor.

One of the beautiful pines in the Woolston Millennium Garden will still be covered in hundreds of sponsored Christmas lights to commemorate loved ones and special causes and will be lit up by Monday 7th December.

We are also having a remembrance tree illuminated at St Mark’s Church, Archer’s Road, Southampton, SO15 2LU.

We will send the names of those being remembered to the Echo (we need these names by 14th December to be included in the Echo) and record them in our remembrance book. You may send photographs, short poems/verses or a tribute for inclusion in the book. Please email digital copies, or attach them to your sponsor form and return to our Amplevine House office. We will do our best to return hard copies to you, dependant on you providing a stamped and addressed envelope.

To sponsor a light (suggested minimum donation of £7 each)

Please contact us on 023 8021 6022 or email events@communicareinsouthampton.org.uk if you would like more forms or further information.

If you would like a remembrance star to hang on your tree, please send us a stamped and addressed envelope with your sponsor form. We hope you’ll enjoy having something to hang on your tree at home.

Thank you for donating towards our small charity, making a big difference.
