2021 AGM & Annual Report

We were delighted to have an in-person AGM this year and it didn’t disappoint. Volunteers caught up after a long period of time not seeing each other and it was great to have face-to-face updates on what our charity has been up to in 2020-21 and more recently. Our Chair of Trustees, Miles also gave out our first ever 30 years long service award to volunteer, Wes Philp! Congratulations to Wes but also a huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers continuing to give so much of their time to help others. Thanks were also given to Marian and Jenny for their time and generosity with the Robin’s Nest project and to Jenny Coombs for helping us with our accounts during Emily’s maternity leave last year.

Julia Painter stood down from being a Trustee, due to changing demands on her time. Thank you to Julia for her dedication over the past six years and wishing all the best in the future.

John Ansell was welcomed to the board of Trustees. John has been volunteering with us for some time, particularly with our lunch clubs and tea parties and decided now was a good time to get more involved at an organisational level.

After the AGM, we shared in an afternoon tea put on by our Trustees. Thank you to Shirley Baptist Church for having us.
