We’re hiring a Senior Coordinator
We’re looking for a caring, organised and flexible Senior Coordinator to join our team.
Hours: 25 to 35 hours per week (negotiable)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Initially a one-year fixed-term contract
Location: 147, Shirley Road, Southampton, SO15 3FH
About the role
Do you have excellent communication and IT skills? Are you caring, flexible and able to work with a wide range of people? If so, you could be just the person we’re seeking. Communicare is a church-supported social outreach charity working across Southampton, providing practical help, friendship and emotional support to vulnerable and isolated people in our community.
As a Senior Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing volunteers, coordinating referrals and helping to ensure our services continue to make a positive difference across the city.
Key responsibilities
As a Senior Coordinator, you will work with the team to:
- Recruit, induct and support volunteers
- Manage new referrals and service user assessments
- Maintain and develop office data systems and records
- Handle telephone enquiries and communications
- Staff office opening hours on a rota system
- Match volunteers with service users and requests for support
- Organise transport and shopping support programmes
- Monitor and evaluate charity activity and stakeholder feedback
- Assist with reporting and data analysis for funders
- Review and create policies, procedures and risk assessments
- Support compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements
- Work with the team to organise and run events and activities
- Build and maintain partnerships with other organisations.
