Calling all in Banister Park!

Calling all in Banister Park!

Our Hospital Homecoming project is based on the idea of developing community based “patches” across the city, so that support offered is predominantly through a local team living/working within 10 mins walk of anyone being helped.

Consequently we are focusing intensively on specific areas across the city over the coming months to try to form effective groups.

During the period 18th November – 16th December Banister Park and surrounding area is the focus.

Partnering with St Mark’s Church, Archers Road, we will be talking to schools, businesses, community groups and churches. We aim to deliver leaflets door to door to engage with residents, inviting everyone to our “drop-in” sessions:

  • Saturday 24th November, 10am – 12pm, Hawthorns Activity Centre, The Common
  • Monday 26th November, 6 – 8pm Winston Hotel, Archers Road
  • Tuesday 27th November, 2 – 4pm, St Mark’s Church
  • Thursday 29th November, 8.30 – 10.30am, St Mark’s Church

Please come and join us if you can and let us know if you have any links/ideas to maximise the impact we can have in raising our profile.

We are keen to get many more people introduced to us who need the Homecoming service as well as recruiting more Communiteers and encouraging donations to extend the project.
