Chat Together group at St. Mary’s Church, Sholing

Our ‘Chat Together’ group is moving. We’ve had a fab time at Valentine Primary School but are now moving to St. Mary’s Church, St. Monica Road, SO19 8ES.

The group will be held monthly on Fridays, 1.30-3.00pm.

Jim and Chris (in the header photo), who are regular members of our Woolston Friendship Club attended our Chat Together group.

Chris is pictured playing ‘What am I’ at Woolston, and they were delighted to play it again, with Year 5s at Valentine school.

Jim said: “It was an extremely lovely and memorable two hours. The children were adorable and we all shared lots of laughter while playing games. The staff made us welcome and all I can really say is…you missed out on a treat!”

We’re looking for seniors from the Sholing area who would like to join us at ‘Chat Together’, as it is very good for the children to have older people to interact with. It builds their confidence and their communication skills, as well as building understanding and mutual appreciation between the generations.
