The ABP Marathon Is Postponed Until 25 April 2021 But There’s Still Time To Sign Up For A Virtual Run (Or Cycle)!

Rees Leisure have announced that it is with great regret that the ABP 2020 Southampton Marathon has now been cancelled and will return on Sunday 25th April 2021. The ongoing Covid-19 crisis is still heavily impacting on leisure events and a further re-schedule in 2020 was not possible.

The good news is there’s still time to sign up to raise money for our charity by doing a virtual run or walk where you can accumulate your distance over a period of days or weeks until 31st December and it will still count as a half, full marathon or 10 k (depending which option you choose). Rees Leisure have even said people can cycle the distance if they prefer!

This is a fantastic way to keep fit and exercise during the lockdown – if you’re shielding you could even do it in your garden (if you’re lucky enough to have one) – look at what Captain Tom Moore achieved in his!
