Runner roundup: Paul – running 10k for a charity his family loves
Paul is gearing up for the ABP Southampton 10K, running alongside his wife Liz and supporting us – a charity he’s come to know well through her.
Paul’s goal this year is ambitious: he’s aiming to complete the 10K in one hour 15 minutes. Although he hasn’t run this distance in an event before, he’s feeling good about his training and ready to take on the challenge.
When asked why he’s supporting use, the 69-year-old didn’t hesitate: “They need the money!”
Simple, honest and true – we rely on supporters like Paul to continue with our vital work reducing loneliness and supporting vulnerable residents across Southampton.
Paul plans to fundraise both online and through paper forms, reaching out to friends, family and the wider community.
We can’t wait to cheer Paul on as he takes on the 10K with determination and a big heart.
